The forklift lifting beam is a handling device designed to mount directly onto the forks of an existing forklift truck. CIPAL designs it to order to transform a standard forklift into a versatile lifting tool. It thus extends the forklift’s capabilities without any investment in additional equipment.
Its design allows use as a lifting beam for the handling of pallets and palletised products. It furthermore converts into a jib for lateral or offset lifting operations. This dual function consequently makes it a particularly cost-effective tool for workshops and warehouses already equipped with a forklift truck. Installation onto the forks is moreover quick and straightforward, without any specialist tooling, thanks to a secure anti-slip fixing system.
Unlike a fixed workshop hoist or gantry, the forklift lifting beam offers a mobile solution. It therefore moves freely throughout the workshop or warehouse to follow production requirements. This mobility thus reduces handling times and improves operator productivity on a daily basis.
The engineering department sizes each beam according to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account the type of forklift, frequency of use and the operating environment. Every unit is furthermore delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
