The verticalisation lifting beam is a high-precision lifting device. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order for the aerospace sector. It handles and verticalises large-scale space structures safely. It was notably developed in collaboration with CNES for the Ariane 6 programme.
Its motorised rebalancing system continuously compensates for imbalances linked to the structure’s geometry. The operator thus controls all movements remotely via radio remote control. Manual intervention at load level is therefore not required. This approach consequently ensures team safety and structural integrity throughout the operation.
Each aerospace verticalisation beam is developed in direct collaboration with the client. CIPAL thus integrates regulatory constraints and traceability requirements from the design phase. Qualification protocols specific to the aerospace sector are furthermore taken into account. This rigour therefore ensures tooling compliance with the most demanding sector standards.
The engineering department sizes each beam according to the specific constraints of the application. It considers component geometry, positioning tolerances and operating conditions. Every unit is moreover delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
