The hydraulic lifting beam is a specialist lifting device for the handling of concrete, timber and steel railway sleepers. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order to meet the specific constraints of railway construction sites. It thus enables the laying, removal and repositioning of sleepers with precision and efficiency.
Hydraulic Lifting Beam — Railway Sleeper Handling — Remote control for enhanced on-track safety
Unlike a conventional mechanical lifting beam, the hydraulic lifting beam operates the hooks remotely. The operator therefore does not intervene manually at load level. This remote operation thus secures the operation, reduces the number of operators required and accelerates handling cycles on the track.
A solution adaptable to each site configuration
CIPAL adapts each beam to the specific constraints of the railway site: concrete, timber or steel sleepers, mono or bi-block, operational output and type of carrier equipment. This beam integrates directly onto an overhead crane, crane or hydraulic excavator. It furthermore accepts single or multi-sleeper pick-up to optimise laying output. A 270° or 360° rotator option moreover enables precise positioning of sleepers along the track, without moving the carrier equipment. Its robust design and intuitive controls thus make it a reference tool for companies working at intensive output on railway tracks.
The engineering department sizes each beam according to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account the type of lifting equipment, frequency of use and the operating environment. Every unit is moreover delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
