Motorised Turning Beam — Arms or Flanges

Motorised turning beam with arms or flanges designed and manufactured by CIPAL

The motorised turning beam with arms or flanges is an industrial lifting device. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order for each turning application. It thus enables safe and controlled operations, without any manual intervention at load level.

Turning beam with arms — a firm grip throughout the cycle

The beam ensures a firm and stable grip on the component throughout the cycle. Its motorised arms or flanges adapt to the load geometry via an adjustable span. The operator controls all movements remotely via radio remote control. This on-board motorisation furthermore makes the system completely autonomous, without any external power supply.

A solution adapted to each production environment

CIPAL adapts each turning beam to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account component dimensions, load capacity and operational output. It thus suits bulky components or loads with a difficult centre of gravity to manage. Applications cover in particular the turning of concrete slabs, industrial moulds, mechanically welded frames and metal components during machining.

Direct integration under existing overhead crane or crane

This beam integrates directly under an existing overhead crane or crane. It thus avoids any investment in additional handling equipment. By eliminating dangerous manual handling operations, it furthermore contributes directly to the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the workplace.

The engineering department sizes each turning beam according to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account the type of lifting equipment, frequency of use and the operating environment. Every unit is delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
