The turning columns are lifting and turning devices. CIPAL designs and manufactures them to order for industrial applications. They handle heavy and bulky components at floor level. No overhead travelling crane is thus required for the turning operation.
The system combines a motorised column and a free-rotating column. Each column integrates a motorised vertical translation slide. Both vertical movements are synchronised to ensure even lifting of the component. In the event of a power failure, the slide positions are furthermore maintained automatically.
The motorised column drives continuous 360° rotation of the load. The free column consequently follows the movement without constraining the component. Mechanical interfaces adapted to each mould or component therefore ensure precise and safe connection throughout the turning cycle.
CIPAL adapts each set of columns to component dimensions and operational output. The engineering department moreover takes into account the specific workshop constraints. Every unit is delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
