The pump body extraction tooling is a precision handling system. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order for the nuclear sector. It enables the extraction and reinstallation of pump cartridges in nuclear power stations. Each operation is thus performed with a positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm throughout the extraction stroke.
Every component of this nuclear handling tooling meets strict traceability and qualification requirements. The system integrates adjustments in translation, pitch, roll and yaw. It therefore provides complete control of cartridge position at every stage. Furthermore, an integrated measurement instrument continuously monitors cartridge altitude variation.
The design takes into account the specific operating constraints of the nuclear environment. The paint system follows C3H classification per BS ISO 12944. Surface preparation moreover meets P2 requirements per BS ISO 8501. Materials and components are consequently selected for compatibility with the nuclear operating environment.
Each project is developed in direct collaboration with the client and sector validation bodies. Traceability requirements and qualification protocols are therefore integrated from the design phase onwards. Every unit is delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
