The motorised turning beam with chains or straps is a specialist lifting device for the turning of heavy loads under overhead crane or crane. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order for each industrial turning application. It thus ensures continuous and safe operations, without any manual intervention at load level.
Motorised Turning Beam — Chains or Straps — two variants to suit each component type
CIPAL offers two variants depending on the nature and geometry of the components. The chain version uses a sprocket driven by an on-board electric actuator. It thus suits raw components tolerating chain marking, notably in high-temperature or abrasive environments. The strap version relies on two motorised drums fitted with robust straps. It is thus particularly suited to finished or delicate components with a carefully finished surface, requiring gentle and mark-free gripping.
A fully autonomous system
Both configurations integrate an autonomous on-board energy generation system. They therefore require no external power supply. They are thus usable on any lifting equipment, without installation constraints. The operator controls all movements remotely via radio remote control. By eliminating dangerous manual handling operations, this beam furthermore contributes directly to the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the workplace.
A solution adapted to each production environment
CIPAL adapts each turning beam to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account component dimensions and nature, load capacity and operational output.
The engineering department sizes each beam according to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account the type of lifting equipment, frequency of use and the operating environment. Every unit is delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
