The overhead crane turning system is a specialist lifting device. CIPAL designs and manufactures it to order for industrial turning applications. It enables continuous and safe rotation of heavy loads under an existing overhead crane. No angle limitation is thus applied throughout the turning operation.
The system combines a free beam and a motorised beam, both suspended from the overhead crane. This combination ensures smooth and controlled 360° rotation of the load. The overhead crane turning system furthermore incorporates mechanical interfaces adapted to each component’s geometry. These therefore ensure precise and safe connection between the load and the beams throughout the turning cycle.
The operator controls all movements remotely via radio remote control or pendant push-button. Each movement is consequently managed with precision, without any manual intervention at load level. This remote operation moreover improves operator safety and reduces risks associated with the handling of heavy and bulky components.
CIPAL adapts each overhead crane turning system to the specific constraints of the production environment. It takes into account component nature and dimensions, load capacity and operational output. Every unit is therefore delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
