The sequential round bar lifting clamp is a bespoke gripping device designed for large-diameter cylindrical component handling. CIPAL designs and manufactures it in compliance with standard NF EN 13155. It ensures safe, repeatable gripping of bars resting on cradles, without any manual intervention at load level.
Its operating principle relies on the geometry of the component. The crane’s lifting motion presses both jaws against the bar. As a result, the interfaces fitted to the jaws provide obstacle gripping on the lower section. The sequential system then enables automatic pick-up and release in complete safety.
CIPAL adapts each round bar lifting clamp to the specific constraints of the application. It takes into account bar diameter, cradle configuration and type of overhead crane. Each configuration therefore meets precise requirements in terms of productivity and on-site safety.
The engineering department sizes every clamp according to the application’s constraints. It considers frequency of use and the operating environment. Each unit is consequently delivered with a complete technical file: operating instructions, structural calculations and CE marking.
